This is the page for what to do if you want to buy any books directly from me personally. This is as opposed to buying any of my works via a commercial site, such as Amazon, Kobo, Google Play, etc.

Also, this page applies only to purchasing Faerie Blood or Bone Walker, my indie-published novels, as well as my indie short stories.

My Carina Press novels are, of course, sold by Carina Press. See the [[Valor of the Healer]], [[Vengeance of the Hunter]], and [[Victory of the Hawk]] pages for how to get those books.

Square:

First and foremost, if you’re in the US, you can buy all of my indie works via my Square storefront! This is the storefront you’ll go to if you click on “Store” on the site menu. On this storefront, you will find both print and digital editions of all my indie releases, where applicable.

You will also find a Tip Jar. This is for anyone who’s acquired any of my works for free (say, via promotion on KDP, or via Reader Sets Price on Smashwords), and who might want to pay me after the fact. This is a mechanism through which you may do this.

If you order through Square, the asking price for the print books is $17 + shipping. The reason for this price is because Square does get a cut of the sale. So you will save a couple of bucks if you order from me directly, but that’s also offset by Square allowing you to use a credit card.

The shipping cost on Square is $3 to any US address. (Square does not handle non-US shipping.)

Shipping costs are because I can mail paperback books at media mail rates within the United States. And mailing books gets progressively more expensive the farther away from me I have to mail them.

Bandcamp:

If you’re not in the US, you can also buy the print editions of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker via the Crime and the Forces of Evil merch page.

The asking price on Bandcamp is the same as on Square, i.e., $17 for the books vs. $15 if you buy from me directly. Again, the difference in price is because Bandcamp gets a cut of the sale. But going through them also does mean ability to pay by credit card.

On Bandcamp, the shipping cost is $3 to any US address, $6 to any address in Canada, and $8 outside North America.

Paypal:

If you don’t want to go through either Square or Bandcamp, you can pay me directly via my Paypal.me link, paypal.me/annathepiper.

Hand-Delivering Books:

For the print editions of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker, if I can hand-deliver you the book, my asking price is $15. (This is a discount from my retail asking price of $17.) This will apply if:

• You live local to me and I can bring you the book;
• You are likely to see me at a local science-fiction convention, such as Norwescon or VCON or Conflikt;
• You are likely to see me at concerts by any of my favorite musicians or bands, either in Seattle or in BC on one of my frequent trips to Canada.

If I need to mail you a print edition, I ask the same shipping costs when ordering from me directly that I do when ordering via Square or Bandcamp: $3 to US addresses, $6 to Canadian addresses, $8 outside North America.

What Ebook Formats I Can Send You:

Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are both available in EPUB and MOBI format. They are DRM-free, so you can load them into the tool of your choice and convert them to whatever other format you may wish.

Additionally, Faerie Blood is available in a PDF format, which includes a high-res version of the cover as well as an additional black-and-white version. A similar PDF edition of Bone Walker is also available. If you prefer to read your ebooks in PDF format, buying from me IS the only way to get them right now.

Other Ways to Pay Me:

If you don’t want to go through Square or Bandcamp and you also don’t have a Paypal account, you have a few other options for how to pay me, as follows:

Bookstore Credit

I will accept credit equivalent to the price of your desired book at any store where I can buy ebooks or digital music! This includes, in order of my preference:

• Kobo
• iTunes (either US or CA, I have accounts at both)
• Barnes and Noble
• Amazon
• And if you happen to be in Quebec, either Archambault OR Renaud-Bray, since I have accounts at both stores and am HIGHLY interested in acquiring SF/F in French 😀

Other methods

If you are local to me, you may pay me by cash or a check.

If you are NOT local to me, you may mail me a check or a money order.

If you are Canadian, you may pay me via Interac since I have an account with a Canadian bank. Contact me directly for details on how to go about doing that.

If you meet up with me at a science fiction convention, I will have my Square with me and will be able to use that to take payments via debit or credit card. Note that if you do meet up with me at a convention and I have my Square, the “hand-deliver” price applies to books, and of course, shipping costs will be waived!
